Established in 2013, The Wild Flour is an independent, family owned and run cafe which has offered freshly prepared food, home baking and great coffee to both locals and visitors to the Newtonmore area.
Our goal is to have a homely, relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We are thrilled to welcome visitors to the area as well as local regular customers all year round.
We are passionate about making all of our produce fresh and in house. From our cakes and scones all the way to our pestos and sauces found throughout our lunch menu.

When we took over the business in 2013 there were changes we wanted to make which we have achieved over the years, such as; extending the seating area downstairs, extending the seating and opening up the garden as well as many more cosmetic changes. Our goal is to have a homely, relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Having our cafe is a way of life, not just a business. We love living here in this rural location in the beauty of the highlands and being able to have family time, which now is 3 generations.
Suzy has immersed herself in the traditions of Waulking and learning the Gaelic language. She spends time with the local Waulking group practicing Scottish folk songs sung in Gaelic which would have been sung while shrinking cloth.
Lucy has a passion for walking in the hills with her 4 legged members of the family. She has always loved living rurally in mountainous areas, having settled in Newtonmore. Being able to walk from her front door and within ten minutes be up in the beautiful Glen Banchor, having the choice of walking small hills, riverside paths or Munros.
